VP Business Development
We are currently seeking a VP Sales to assume responsibility for all
aspects of the sales function for our company. That is, the successful
candidate will:
- set pricing (and therefore margin),
- pursue sales contracts with chain stores,
- hire and supervise local/regional sales representatives, including
determining their compensation structure,
- develop and refine marketing support materials such as brochures,
shelf-talkers, etc.
- work closely with the President to develop and implement an aggressive
growth strategy.
The successful candidate will:
- have a strong background in sales, particularly closing sales with
chain stores (grocery, hardware, home/garden ideal),
- have management/supervisory experience (particularly sales management),
- be organized, motivated, intelligent, and entrepreneurial,
- understand the dynamics of setting pricing and compensation structures,
and the cost/benefit of marketing support materials.
Compensation structure is negotiable, but the focus will be on pay-for-performance.
This is a good opportunity for an experienced sales manager to take their
career through the roof by demonstrating how to grow a top-notch product
in an untapped market.
